That evening, families can meet our administrators, counselors, and some of our teaching and support staff. In addition, you'll hear information about Grant High School and receive a tour of the school.
Freshmen, please join us for the Freshman Picnic the following morning. Team-building and ice-breaker activities will begin at 9:00am. Our after-school program (arc) will be providing lunch to all attendees. After lunch, freshman will be able to receive a preview copy of their Fall 2016 schedule if they have their completed emergency card to submit.
Classes begin at 8:00. Student dismissal is at 3:09 on Tuesday; we do not have a short Tuesday schedule that day.
Students may turn in their completed emergency card on the day designated for their grade level in order to receive a preview copy of their Fall 2016 schedule. Blank emergency cards are available in the Admissions Office, or you may download and print the form (EMERGENCY CARD). Students who do not come for program preview will receive their schedule on the first day of school. Lists will be posted around campus on Tuesday morning to let students know where to report for Period 1.
- Juniors and Seniors: Wednesday, August 10, 1:00 - 2:30
- Sophomores: Thursday, August 11th, 1:00 - 2:30
- Freshmen: Friday, August 12th, 1:00 - 2:30 (following the Freshman Picnic)
Summer Homework Assignments
AP and SAS Parent Night will be held on Thursday, May 19th, at 6:00pm in the main gym. Students who will be taking AP courses next year are encouraged to bring their parents so that they may find out about the AP courses, summer homework assignments, and about the AP program at Grant High School. Mr. De La Torre, our AP Coordinator, will be there as well as several of our AP teachers to provide information.

On Saturday, February 6th, they will be competing in Mathematics, Art, Music, Language & Literature, Social Science, Science, and Economics. The competition culminates with SuperQuiz, an exciting relay which takes place in front of an audience.

Enrolling students must bring a parent/legal guardian, a copy of their transcripts, proof of address, and immunization records when enrolling.
Lists will be posted around campus to let you know where you should report. You will receive your program card from your Period 2 teacher.
